Chicken Feet Processing & Export Workflow

Chicken Paw Processing & Export Workflow
- Receiving & Initial Inspection
Upon arrival at the facility, the raw chicken feet are inspected by the Quality Control (QC) team. Each batch is checked for freshness, appearance, odor, and compliance with export standards. Only approved products enter the processing line.
- Washing & Sanitization
The chicken feet undergo multi-stage washing, including:
- Rinsing with cold water
- Sanitizing with approved disinfectants
- Cooling in a chilled water tank
This ensures the removal of dirt, contaminants, and any unwanted residues.
- Scalding & Removal of Outer Layer
Chicken feet are placed in a hot-water scalding tank to soften and remove:
- The outer horny layer
- Remaining skin impurities
- Surface contamination
After scalding, nails and non-edible parts are removed using specialized equipment.
- Cooling & Draining
The product is transferred into a cold-water chiller to rapidly reduce temperature.
It is then placed on draining racks to remove excess water and prepare for sorting.
- Sorting & Quality Grading
- Chicken feet are sorted based on:
- Size and uniformity
- Color and appearance
- Absence of breaks, bruises, or defects
- Compliance with export quality standards
- Only premium-grade products proceed to packaging.
- Hygienic Packaging
The chicken feet are packed into:
- 4-kg food-grade PE bags
- Then placed into 20-kg master cartons
- Packaging is done in a fully hygienic environment suitable for sea and land transport.
- Quick Freezing (IQF Tunnel)
Products enter the IQF tunnel and are rapidly frozen to –18°C.
This preserves:
- Texture
- Natural color
- Product quality during shipping and long-term storage
- Storage in Cold Room
The frozen products are stored in a –18°C cold room with a capacity of 150 tons until shipment.
- Loading, Certification & Export
After final inspection and issuance of the official Veterinary Health Certificate, products are loaded into refrigerated containers and shipped to international markets.
